Design Services

Courtland’s Design Services help you plan your outdoor project from the start with a clear, scaled landscape design that fits your space, style, and budget. Whether you’re planning a full backyard transformation or improving one key area, we’ll guide the process from concept to a build-ready plan.

Why is there a design fee?

Design work takes time, creativity, and professional planning. A solid design helps you make the right decisions early, avoid costly changes later, and gives you a clear roadmap for building your outdoor space.

What to expect.

You’ll receive a clear, scaled CAD plan designed around your needs, budget, and style. We keep communication open throughout the process so adjustments are simple and the transition from design to construction is smooth.

Design Fees

Courtland’s design work is a paid service. Design fees cover the time and expertise required to measure your space, create a scaled plan, recommend materials and plantings, and refine the design through revisions. This helps ensure every project starts with a clear roadmap and accurate expectations before construction begins.

FAQ: “Why is there a design fee?”

A design fee covers site measurements, professional planning, and the time it takes to create a build-ready plan. It helps you make confident decisions early and avoids costly changes later.

FAQ: “Do I pay for a design fee if my project continues to the construction phase?”

Yes you will be invoiced your original quoted design fee amount, but no additional charges for revisions will apply.

FAQ: “How much does a landscape design cost?”

Design fees vary based on the size and scope of your project (from single garden areas to full-property plans). We’ll confirm the right design package and provide pricing after a short consultation.

FAQ: “What’s included in a Courtland landscape design?”

Your design includes an on-site consultation and measurements, a scaled CAD plan, concept ideas for layout/materials/plantings, and up to two rounds of revisions based on your feedback.

FAQ: “Can I get a quote without a design?”

Absolutely! All initial consultations are no obligation and we provide free quotes. After the first meeting we can provide budget numbers for your full scope of project. We will only proceed with the design  with your approval of the design fee quote.

Design fees apply to all design projects.
